  • Is Gillies a roaster?

    Yes. In fact, we are the oldest roaster in the land, founded in New York in 1840, and still making great coffee in our home town. We blend, roast, pack and ship to you directly from our all-under-one-roof location in Brooklyn, New York.

  • Do you do custom coffee flavors or blends?

    Yes. Call us or email us to inquire about what we can do for you. Some custom work involves minimum order quantities, bulk packing, or longer turn-around times. Give us a call at 800-344-5526 and we can talk about your coffee aspirations.

  • Are there GMOs in Gillies coffee?

    The National Coffee Association (NCA) is not aware of any GMO coffee in the marketplace. The only additives that we put in some of our blends are flavorings. Our flavorings supplier confirms that there are no GMO components in their ingredient pool..

  • Does Gillies use all natural flavoring on your flavored coffee?

  • Your coffee is priced lower than other roasters, how can it be any good?

    Gillies is a direct from the roaster source for freshly roasted coffee, in wholesale lots selling directly to you without middlemen. Our entire operation is under one roof, and we pass the savings we realize directly on to you, our customer.

  • Your coffee is more expensive than some other roasters, how do you justify that?

    Stock-lots of middling quality are available from most origins. You know the coffee’s from Guatemala but that’s all you know. Ours is from a specific farm, mill or exporter, you learn the region and district from which the beans come, and often the name of the farm. Our Guatemala, for instance, is always an Antigua, and always an SHB EP grade (the highest grade obtainable). You’ll taste the difference in the cup, and so will your customers. You are paying a fair price, and getting a great product, and a great value in return.

    We offer free shipping on all orders totaling $100+ after all discounts have been applied.

  • What is Gillies’ return and refund policy?

    If you are dissatisfied with your order, you may return any unopened boxes/bags for a refund of the original purchase price. We are sorry, but health concerns prevent us from accepting opened goods for return. A communication requesting a return must be made within 5 business days of delivery of your order.
