About this Item
Smooth as ivory satin sheets, rahat lokum, rose water, sugar, starch and a Tokaji finish.
Through the years this has become my personal mixture; I created it originally for Arcadia, the quiet, and refined fine-dining restaurant at 21 East 62nd Street, and Ms. Anne Rosenzweig, its young and brilliant three-star chef who brewed Arcadia's coffee in a Bunn® brewer. The blend is also “Passing Fair” (a wonderful old archaic expression) when brewed as a single serve Café Filtre, or in a French Press. Prepared as an espresso, it produces a lightly frothy straight espresso of the Northern Italian style. I recommend it after dinner, paired with a light desert, and served with light cream or half-and-half, and blond sugar. If you are serving it as an espresso, it is shown to its best advantage when put out without the benefit of steamed or frothed milk. Sadly New York lost Arcadia in 1998, but I am happy to report that DNS Reserve® goes on. Rich Dark Roast™ -DNS, coffeeman
