About this Item

Estate TGFOP - The Original Darjeeling tea plantings go back to the 1840's (which we recognize as a good decade for our own reasons).amber colored beverage, with its full bodied liqueur, and fruity aroma is recognized by tea lovers everywhere. Stronger, and less delicate than its 1st Flush sister, 2nd Flush Estate Darjeeling is favored by those who can sip, close their eyes and imagine that it is 1924, and they are in David Lean's "A Passage to India". Cupper's note: 2nd flush Darjeeling makes a delicious tea on ice.

founded in 1852, Moondakotee (Sanctuary of the Moon) is located in the north of Kurseong on the crest of Tiger Hill, is bathed in moon-glow.

In the cup this 2nd flush tea has a wonderfully floral dark amber liquor, with a whisper of terpeny something in the fragrant. A 3-minute steep time brews up a an elegant dry musky almond nuanced flavor.
